I have take these  images in class .I think it  went well and,  I am  comfortable using a camera now then I  did before  .I didn't do well on getting the  4 objects ,as I through  we supposed to bring 3 object  :/ . I would have took different angles on the other objects instead.

Our assignment was about freaky & unique adverts. I also learn to use a camera, and to take pictures with it. I  took images of my objects that I brought in from home. I then edited it into Photoshop to make a freaky advert out of this object.

·         Your research – what images inspired you? (refer to your week 2 research task)

The images inspired me to make an advert.  I’ve found my images on google, but some of the images I’ve found didn’t have the artist's name.I have gotten confused with the links, to each images I’ve found.I had to  research  the images  again, but I  couldn’t find the image again so I had  to  choose a different image .

·         Characteristics of freaky/unusual photography.

Some of the  images I chose were gory images,  because I have chosen to do a  gore theme.To get  ideas that  I can use for my advert and to inspire  me for my other unit I might be doing in the future . I have chosen surrealism because they are weird and freaky images that will look right for my idea on an advert.

·         What were your ideas? Refer to your proposal – outline what it was you intended to do.

I did an advert for milk . I did two different ones because I got confused on the work.

• Four edited final shots. What editing processes did you use?

I took a photo of my object and transport them into Photoshop with my micro SD card .I then edit them into Photoshop and use the tool to create my product for my advert.

• Examples of your final advert artwork.

 I’ve tried to make it scary and freaky I can. I’ve took pictures of my objects, and I played around in Photoshop to make my product. The tools I used in Photoshop were a pen tool, to cut out the bits I needed, I’ve used the curves to make the object standout more and to make it freaky.

·         What would you do differently next time and what did you learn from your first assignment?

I would of took my time in Photoshop more and to take more images for my product I’m making and I have learn to more about Photoshop and about photography  like  how  I put the camera in a tripod , The way to use the camera and the buttons that I knew nothing about. I learn how to use curve and contrast onto the object .

·         In your opinion, does your final image meet the assignment brief and your original proposal?

I don’t think it does, as I am getting confused with video advert proposal and photography proposal , as I don’t know if it goes  with the advert  idea ,as my  photography is different  to my advert  I have created with Faye .

I have been producing a magazine advert for my product, what my group created together.

·         What did you research and how did it help?

I have  been researching   Magazine adverts and  TV adverts for my product idea.The research helped me to inspire  my own ideas to make my own  advert and  to create a good advert out of my research  .Some of the  adverts I have been  watching some  of them were   freaky and funny adverts to give me some  ideas .

·         What skills did you learn?

I am very happy on my final piece, because it looks like a scary magazine advert and it goes with the theme of the advert we are doing. I like the eye effect on my magazine advert as it makes the whole image stand out a lot and bring more depth to the magazine. The windmill in the background looks like a clown make –up.

o   What would you do differently if you did it again?

I would made it more scarier than it is, and to make the writing  bigger and clear to read for the audiences. I have changed the slogan font around, as it doesn’t suit with the other layer of my magazine advert. I would change the color background into a dark reddish color and the windmill to neon green color instead of black.

I’m producing a shampoo advert for teenagers and young adults.

What did you research and how did it help?

I have been researching freaky adverts for how project. I have also been learning about different kind of adverts.

It helped me out, with what kind of advert we could be doing on how final piece of work, and how could we do this in how own advert Some of the research was kind of not relevant to the work we are doing, as we after to watch the wasp what was a short film, as that had nothing to do with how work and advertisement .

What skills did you learn?

·         How to record and take picture on camera.

·         How many actor you need to have in advert.

·         To use Adobe Premiere Pro software.

·         Learn more proposal then, I did before.

How do you feel about your final pieces?

I felt it was alright, but we should have learn more about Abode Premiere pro software, before we did the advert so we have rough idea what we could do. The advert we made is creepy and the editing I have done suit it with the theme. I have enjoyed doing this advert with the group I am in.

 I kept on clicking random things and I was bit confused how to get it back where it was, but I was unsure so I close the program down and after restart the program again. I had another problem, and that was  the computer playing up as every software on the computer kept on freezing  on us and that waste out time,but we have extra hour to do, but all of that I am happy with my work.

What would you do differently if you did it again?

                                                                                                                                                                          
                I don’t think I would do anything different to it, because I found alright.The group I was in  are okay and I got along so ,it was easy people to work with and we got a good advert we have produced .I think we should had more time on the storyboard. I think we should have more time to edit on  how advert.

 I have  been using a  the pen tool,  to cut out parts of my controls on  photoshop .I then put them  together with the milk carton. I  then used  the curves tool,  to make my obejcts effective and freaky cool.

I have been using the pen tool to edit the cocktail bottle out, because I had deleted the bottom of   the cocktail bottle, for a PS1 control button . I also cut the top bit of the cocktail bottle  and changed  it into a bronze colour  I then  added the lid of the cocktail bottle  back on to the body. I then added a  blooded stand to the body of the cocktail bottle to make it as freaky as I can.

I have used the pen tool, to crop out the main base of the cocktail bottle and put on top of the milk,  like a bottled lid and used curves  to create the right  effect  and used the light and dark tones together.

I have  drawn out my plans, for a  magazine advert .I  have been drawing three of my  ideas , But I have decided to combine them together,  and  to make it a really  cool advert.

Proposal: Photography

I am doing a montage of the photo I took in class  and using the equipment from college to  take the object I’ve brought in with me  from home  and then recreate them in Photoshop to be edited and montaged into something freaky and unique.

I have used the camera too take  photos of my object  so I can upload the   photos  into my computer and  edit them . I have used a red head to bring light on to the object so the  colour of my objects would strand out more than the class lights and the sunlight. I have used a  tripod to hold my  camera, so I don’t  have to  hold it in my hands . I’ve also used a seamless background so the camera can focus on the object I brought to class.

The object I brought was ps1 control (play station one control), because I think it is  old and I think it would go in with the new object. I also brought a cocktail mixer bottle, because it looks like a good object to use, I also got carton of milk from the  canteen because, I thought it would be fun mixing something with the milk carton and it make it more weirder .

I have recreated my image in Photoshop. I have also learned to use curves to bring more darkness and lightness into the objects. I have learnt about the levels, what can bring the lights down & up onto the images I’ve been taking in class. I have then started to crop my objects out. I have been using the pen tool to cut out my objects and put them onto a different object .another untitled layer. I then  edited around like putting the bottom of my object on top of another object this is called layering. to make it more weird than it was .I would then use a curve tool to bring   both objects  into life and to make them more creepy. I have also used the levels to bring down or up the image, to make the object more effective .I use the curve tool to add more detail to the object I am using.

I have used the pen tool to cut out the buttons on my PS1 control. I then cut the analogs with the pen tool in Photoshop. I then pastested them  onto the milk layer ,as well I added new layer  so I can edited them seperaly .I then  used the curve tool to make  the ps1 control into a cartoon effect .I then changed the milk around, to look like the  sun arising on the milk.

Today i have created my bottle for my shampoo advert .

 I kind of like it ,because the effect on the bottle .I wanted to bend my label rounded like a bottle ,but the pen wasn't work that much

My version of the banner 

•  I'm  happy with it :

 I am happy with the logos and the dripped blood  on the logos and slogans, as this makes  it really glowy  effect .I wanted it to make it creepy to the buy,But I don't like the bar code, as it is  not really that clear .I don't like the clowns  in the banner ,as it really don't stands out. it  did not go right with the  banner for my advert.The background color doesn't suit with the  logo and the other layers  in Photoshop  .

• What could I improve on :

I should of taken my time on the banner and to think it through more and try  not to make it too hard for myself,  as I'm still a rookie on Photoshop

• If I would have done this again, what would I done different ?

I would done  a clown scheme colour more,  then a  purple colour,  as it very dull banner and to make more like a clown face,with more of a  blooded banner.

Talk about the technique  you have used .

I have been using  sceenshot. To get my  logo from DAfont . I have then  paste them into  Photoshop and I  chose my font for my advert  .
 I then  clicked ctrl +t , so I can  re size my  fronts into a  A4 sheet of  paper, into  Photoshop   .I Then  used a  Rectangular marquee tool so I can  select the area that I wanted to be used in  my advert. I  then paste  my  fonts it into a  A4 sheet, and   then added more of my  favorites fronts  into A4 sheet .Then I used magic erase to delete background of my  fonts.

Why  do they fit  your theme ?

1.   This would  fit into my  advert  because, it would  go with the scary  theme .Into the advert I am making.
2.  This would  go with the clown because , It looks like a criminal font ,so the clown  can become a criminal ,as he already his.
3. This would go with the clown  more then the other two fonts .
4. The logo looks kind of immature.The clowns is kind of  immature ,so it will go with the font a lot more  ( theme of the shampoo advert)
5. This goes with the 4th logo , but it kind of  makes it creepy to go with the theme of how shampoo .
6. The logo looks  like a crazy fonte, so I can put  it on how advert and t make it bonuce out to the audiences.

We  went on  a tour into  the Library  I through  it was  boring because, I've  already been in the   liberty last year .

The guy in the video  was eating  ice cream of his own head and I  found it disturbing  .It is  like he  he got  hair in the ice cream,while he was eating .It made me feel really  sick whiles  watching  the man  eating of his own head .

Non -Digetic sound : It was like the mans was talking from his conscience,  and  made it really  disturbing, in the advert .The eyes  look like they were  go to pop out of his own skull .The movement was still kind of still  , but the man was   moving  only in the advert.

The face was hape-shifting ,and I found it really funny ,but it freaked me out a lot .The face movement look like it was created on Photoshop.If we after to recreate this advert we would use a step by step sceenshots,  to recreate it into Photoshop,  on  the face movements .

The advert reminded me of a  surrealism film,  that I did researching about last year.,  it is   by  Salvador dal who a famous artist  

 .I liked the   puppets in the advert ,because the puppet turned  into a man .I liked the black and white affect  in the advert , What makes this  creeper on  the advert . The digetic sounded in the advert , was  like it added a horror  movie theme song , for the background sound .The advert was to  make it  more of a creepy advert   ,

I have been playing arounded in Photoshop again . I have been using levels in Photoshop, to make the image more dark or more of  light image  , as the Redhead  can make the objects too bright sometime ( It is  what objects you are  using). I have  then used curves to change the effect of my object ,as you can see on my  work .I then clicked the eyedropped tool (curves version)  to change color of my object . I also add the clone to make it 3D ( did it out of random)

I like this because , it reminded me of a horror movie and it is kind of spooky , as the man has got no body and you only see the arms and  legs of the body .I like the black &white colour ,as it brings out the image alot and looks like the 1930s America  .

This was used with a camera & photoshop to recreate this image into a surreal art .

If i recreated that ,I would mix the arms & legs around to make more creepy image  and to have some blood stain to make the  image stand out  more .

I like this because , it looks like the leopards are going  to jump out on you  after the photo is taken.The background is blurry   , behind  the leopard ,and it  looks like   two pictures were taken  and meraged together into one image. 

This was taken with a camera .

If I had  recreate this I would use  a kitten , because I cannot bring a real life leopard into class ,as the leopard will kill us and eat us alive.

I like this because of the  forces of the deer and the background is cut out from the deer . It kind of reminds me of Bambi a bit . It makes me drawn into the deers eye and makes me  think of the deers life instead of my own life.

If I  had to recreate this , I would  go up  to wollton  park to take a deer photo and edit it   on photoshop to make it really effective.
